The annual flagship event of Green Planet Club, IUB - which strives to bring natural philosophy in practice & thrives to cause a better impact. Green Genius (GG) is an environmental talent hunt competition that aims to provide students from schools, colleges, and universities in Bangladesh and abroad with a platform to address pressing environmental issues and come up with novel ideas.
This year, the theme of the event is "Warming Cities, Sustainable Living" since high temperatures and humidity leave millions of people in Dhaka exposed to dangerous weather conditions and this July being the hottest month the city has yet experienced. Thus, it was up to the next generation to come up with unique and creative solutions to this problem that has been plaguing every inhabitant of this overpopulated city.
The event received mass media coverage by several prominent news outlets such as the Business Standard, Daily Star, Banglanews24 and the list goes on.

In this prestigious event covered by mass media and attended by participants all over the nation, two of our schoolโs students, who had been the littlest in height among all competitors, won the honorary award in the school category.
Their idea may not have been sophisticated or eloquent but their speech and passion had professors fascinated and the two were surrounded by judges and visitors alike throughout the entire round. There was also another team selected for the event from our school & they deserve recognition for their teamwork and being selected among the numerous teams across the country. & These students are particularly exceptional too, because they have immense potential and never miss to participate in any opportunity, regardless of whether they win or not - a tenacity that should be much appreciated alongside as well.
